Blog

So good to get back to the easel and paint my heart out after a couple of weeks of other things getting priority over what I love to do most. Time passes so quickly when I paint. Sometimes my wife Terri will shout up to me from downstairs asking me a question or announcing she's home from an errand and I'll ask her what time it is. I'm almost always surprised that hours have gone by while I was painting. My day job is predominately working as a real estate agent. I love helping buyers and sellers and this has more than paid the bills for many years. As I've suddenly found myself in my sixties, I realize that time may run out on me before I know it and painting is becoming more of a necessary priority. I don't want to waste my talent and I fancy maybe selling a few paintings to support my wife and I in our retirement from real estate someday (Terri sells real estate too - we have a team known as The Christian Group). I have several hours of real estate continuing education that I have to complete by the end of the week. I had to set the education courses aside yesterday and just paint. It was an itch that had to be scratched. I worked on the painting you see attached to this blog post.

Well, its the morning of October 17, 2023, I went for a run and worked out on the weight machine for a bit, got cleaned up and dressed and now I just wanted to quickly peck out this post of what was on my mind for the rest of the day. After I complete this post, I've got to buckle down and work on my real estate courses. But, I think I can work in a couple of hours painting later today and then I'm off to a meeting for my church later this evening.

Painting vs everything else!
