Morning by the Colorado

"Morning on the Colorado" is a 22 x 28 Framed Oil painting of the Colorado River by R.B. Christian III. The subject painting was inspired from an area near Moab Utah which I created last year after a visit there. The west always captivates me and the early morning and late day light on the canyon walls make spectacularly gorgeous paintings. And the water makes it all the more spectacular. As I was waiting waiting with my wife to take a raft down the river I took a photo of this view and brought it back to my home studio to paint it.
