Horned Visitor at the Wash

Horned Visitor by The Wash, an oil painting by R.B. Christian III, depicts a teenage buck at mid distance from the viewer, seemingly coming to the wash for a drink. He is startled by the viewer and looks toward that direction. The scene takes place in late day toward the evening hour just before sunset and is typical of a setting you might find on many Texas lands. Bernie strives to capture the color and drama of landscapes across the country. Since he lives in Fort Worth Texas, he has ample opportunity to paint these landscapes.
